A Stone Face of Piety – A Short Film for The Schoenberg Automaton

We prevailed in the bushlands of hot and sweaty Queensland for two days and nights to create the video for ‘A Stone Face of Piety’. My latest work for The Schoenberg Automaton. This is the most elaborate and intricate work I have completed to date, along with being my personal favourite video as I was allowed to develop and create the entire concept from scratch. Along with this we needed to create 3rd Person Snorri rigs along with classic Snorri setups to get the desired shots. Deep in the wild lands of Queensland, Australia disturbing things are happening. Through my ever vigilant lens I followed the confrontational journey of one man. This is the story of Jake Gerstle and his adventure into the ever encompassing presence that is The Schoenberg Automaton. These stills are silent documentation of events that occurred.

Once in a rotation, I appear.

My friends and family in The Schoenberg Automaton (insane metal band from Australia) that I used to do vocals for.. .and a long story and a lot of medical bills later I now don’t.

But as a Christmas treat the lads let me up on stage for an appearance at close friends of mine ‘Western Decay’s reunion show. I jumped up and channelled all I had for an epic rendition of ‘Where Are We, In A Cube?’ with the now frontman and good friend Jake Gerstle.
