We prevailed in the bushlands of hot and sweaty Queensland for two days and nights to create the video for ‘A Stone Face of Piety’. My latest work for The Schoenberg Automaton. This is the most elaborate and intricate work I have completed to date, along with being my personal favourite video as I was allowed to develop and create the entire concept from scratch. Along with this we needed to create 3rd Person Snorri rigs along with classic Snorri setups to get the desired shots. Below are the videos to both Youtube and Vimeo as well as a comprehensive gear list. Oh yeah Slenderman might pop up 😉
Gear List:
Canon 7D
GoPro HDHero2
Genus Fader ND’s (52mm, 58mm, 77mm)
Jag35 Shoulder Rig
DIY Snorricam
DIY 3rd Person Snorricam
2000+ Watts of Continuous Lighting (Night shots)
Adobe Premiere CS5.5
Colour in Magic Bullet Looks with Cinestyle LOG LUT
Boris Continumm FX

Deep in the wild lands of Queensland, Australia disturbing things are happening. Through my ever vigilant lens I followed the confrontational journey of one man. This is the story of Jake Gerstle and his adventure into the ever encompassing presence that is The Schoenberg Automaton. These stills are silent documentation of events that occurred.

Another one of my recent videos for Melbourne based Grind/Death/Tech/Groove/Whatever masters ‘A Million Dead Birds Laughing’. If you haven’t heard their stuff before, then I highly recommend it. You can get both their albums for free (swing some cash their way if you love it) at the following address: http://amdbl.bandcamp.com
Here is my latest video for the group Kyzer Soze. There are two options,
1)web friendly youtube….
or;
2)vimeo in full hd (warning file size is close to a gig). This really shows the Zeiss lenses (50mm T*Planar 1.4, 35mm Jena Flektagon 2.4) ability with the 7D in low light as well as showing off my new ring light (only $90 bucks).
